Start the summer off right with Pura Vida Silver tequila

Summer’s arrived and for most of the country, we’re able to invite our friends over. Your pals will be so happy to see you and have somewhere to go, don’t worry about making a big fuss over what you serve. Pura Vida Blanco (or Silver) Tequila gives the polish that you want as a host or hostess, without a prohibitive price tag or offbeat flavors to put a kink in your favorite cocktail. I was happy to be hosted to experience it!

The easiest way to enjoy it in all its agave goodness? Serve it neat at room temperature. Perfect for last-second drop-ins.

I experienced a bright and fresh nose of freshly clipped grass and sweetgrass, with a juiciness that dries down to nutty fragrances. Flavor-wise, I experienced a little almond extract, white pepper, a little bite, sweetgrass.

This is what they say about it:

AROMA: Pure Blue Agave, mint, jasmine and laurel
TASTE: Smooth taste of agave with a touch of thyme and jasmine with a slightly spicy smooth finish.
FINISH: Warm

Pura Vida Blanco (or Silver) tequila is tasty on its own, but also great for mixed drinks. You can do juicy, citrus cocktails or go savory: salted margaritas, drinks with hot peppers. I recently saw a recipe online where you can marinate scallops or shrimp in some tequila. This would be a terrific tequila for that gourmet treatment.

Here’s one of their recipes:

Flaco (skinny) Rita

1 1/2 oz Pura Vida Blanco Tequila

1 oz fresh lime juice

1 oz fresh orange juice

1/2 oz Pura Vida Agave Nectar
