Adairsville, Georgia is a tiny little Southern railroad town outside Atlanta. The mercantile building called the “1902 Stock Exchange” is the home of Maggie Mae’s Tea Room. I was happy to be hosted to experience it!
Within its exposed brick walls is a veritable kaleidoscope of interesting nooks and crannies. A used bookstore shares space with antique dealers, as well as the tea room. Upstairs is an opera house. Even the ladies room has a vintage sink and fixtures.
Maggie Mae’s Tea Room is a classic Southern tea room, featuring Georgia favorites like Vidalia onion vinaigrette and chicken salad with minced fruit. Vintage hats surround diners on the walls.
