Americans of all ages, from all walks of life, are trying to “watch it” these days. We’re also becoming aware of the concept of sustainability: where does this food come from, how is it harvested and can it continue to be done? But let’s face it: we like a feeling and the flavor of indulgence, too! Now there’s Fruttare to the rescue: I was happy to be hosted to experience it!
Fruttare are these new frozen fruit as well as frozen fruit and milk bars. Each of the different fruits, such as mango or lime, are grown wherever the best places to grow the fruits for their best flavor and in sustainable manners. There’s very little sugar added and with the portion control, you’re not likely to wreak havoc on a diet. The fruit and milk bars aren’t fatty like a traditional ice cream, yet taste richer than those “ice milks” of old. The bars have bits of fruit in them, but they aren’t icy like fruit in ice cream can be. They make a great fresh-tasting snack or dessert after dinner!
Here’s a cocktail recipe, perfect for the end of summer:
Melting Mojitos

Prep Time: 5 minutes
15 fresh mint leaves
2 Fruttare® Lime Fruit and Juice Bars, chopped
1/2 cup ice cubes(about 3 to 4)

Chilled seltzer
Crush mint in cocktail shaker with wooden spoon. Add Fruttare® Lime Fruit and Juice Bars, ice cubes and rum. Shake well, then strain into 2 highball glasses. Top with seltzer. Garnish, if desired, with additional mint and lime peel.
