Fruit colorings, healthy beauty while traveling: 100% Pure[classic article]

When we travel — whether domestically or internationally — we come into contact with more than enough strange and foreign substances. It only makes sense to re-examine the beauty products we use, so as to not add to the chemical soup. 100% Pure is a company that uses no artificial scents, fillers, colors. I was very glad to be hosted to experience it!

I remember the manager of a very popular health food telling me years ago that one shouldn’t apply to one’s skin anything that wasn’t safe enough to eat; the skin is our largest detox organ. 100% Pure adheres to this philosophy.

I tried a few of the shower gels, all scented with natural oils. Nothing is overpowering and all were refreshing. There are scents for different styles/preferences, such as eucalyptus, vanilla bean and blood orange. They aren’t gloppy, because they don’t have fillers. It’s worth going to a dollar store to get 3-1-1 carry on travel containers for them.

I’ve tried eco-friendly nail polishes in the past and wasn’t thrilled. Now, with 100% Pure, I am! They come in a full range of colors for all skin tones and styles: everything from natural to various flesh tones to classic and even super-trendy blues, greens and vamp-y hues. The brush is very long for good control. The polish is very thin, but not streaky as can often happen with thinner polishes. Just know that you really have to wipe the brush on the side of the bottle and work quickly.

Fruit Pigmented Tinted Moisturizer is very fluid and spreads easily. It comes in a number of shades . . . try and use a good monitor to pick yours. “Creme” is very, very light. The makeup feels good on your skin and without fillers, doesn’t pill up or crease.

For extra coverage, you’ll enjoy Fruit Pigmented Long Last Concealer is more opaque, oil and water resistant. That’s terrific for when you have things to hide in the summer or in hot travel locales and you don’t want your makeup budging!
