Shower gel, bath oils . . . what are you going to take on your trip? You really don’t know — especially if you’re traveling abroad — how your bathroom will be appointed. So many hotels in Europe won’t give you a bathtub unless you’re in some sort of “Royal” suite and some Asian hotels only have a soaking tub. Then again, there are those hotels with Jacuzzis that don’t want your putting anything in there. You certainly don’t want to waste space in your 3-1-1 carry-on travel bag with things you won’t even use! Fortunately, there’s Yardley to the rescue. I was happy to be hosted to experience it.
Yardley London was officially considered to have been established in 1770, but is said to have had an earlier incarnation of the company whose records were lost in the Great Fire of 1666. Can you imagine? Who knows how long this company has been perfecting its products?! Their products have been used by such people as Twiggy and Prince Charles.
There are new bath bar lines, including a fine botanical category. Lemon Verbena is a fragrance incorporating pure citrus oils and shea butter. Moisturizing! This will replenish your body after long plane rides, sightseeing in the sun. The fragrance is very sophisticated and would be suitable for everyone. Take a bar out of the box and wrap your lingerie around it as an elegant sachet!
For less than $10 and available at so many drug stores, it’s a convenient luxury.
