When you’re traveling, the last thing you want to do is to reapply cosmetics or moisturizers. But traveling on dehydrating planes, walking in the sun, etc., can dry out your skin so that it simply can’t hold onto cosmetics. Not so great if you’re wearing concealer and need it! It’s not desirable to lose the colors that you so carefully applied, either. So it’s great that there’s Smashbox Hydrating Photo Finish Foundation Primer to the rescue! I was happy to be hosted to experience it.
Smashbox makes many different primers for various complexions and different cosmetic needs. The company itself was developed from Smashbox photo studios, founded by descendants of Max Factor, the Hollywood cosmetic innovator.
It’s perfectly sized for 3-1-1 carry-on travel bags and housed in a flat tube. Many primers are thick and goopy — so they pill — but this is a sheer serum formula that’s not super slippery and dries right away. You’ll be able to apply any cosmetic over it, even waxy pencils, which usually don’t go well on primers. It won the CEW (Cosmetic Executive Women) Insider’s Beauty Award 2012
Think about using this just to seal in moisturizer invisibly on long-haul flights!
