Give yourself a pedicure at home with Instrumental Beauty

Instrumental Beauty’s Portable Pedicure

Whether you’re one of the East Coast’s 80 million people who survived Winter Storm Jonas or the West Coast’s El Nino rains, you’ve been spent a lot of time indoors, probably mostly at home. If you had to leave, it was for work (on the East Coast, only if you are public works worker or first responder), you had to walk the dog or shovel off your sidewalks.

Probably the last thing you’d let drag you out of the house in all of this is to get a pedicure. The good news, you don’t have to! You can get professional results with Instrumental Beauty‘s Portable Pedicure. I was happy to be hosted to experience it.

Some of you may be familiar with using a pumice or rasp to scrap the rough skin off the bottoms of your feet. First of all, you probably don’t have the patience or strength to keep scraping and scraping to get any kind of results. Plus, your motions won’t be consistent — thus, you’ll get uneven and not smooth soles.

Have you ever used a callous blade? I have. They’re very, very dangerous if you don’t know how to use them correctly. In fact, many states have outlawed even licensed beauticians from using them. That’s because it’s too easy to cut yourself, badly. If you’re trying to give yourself a pedicure or you take care of someone trying to do it — a teenager or senior citizen — you really have to consider something else to get rid of hardened skin.

The Portable Pedicure is the heavy lifter of Instrumental Beauty’s foot products (the Home Spa Treatment System has a gentler pumice). It uses a micro-mineral rolling head over a larger surface. The kit contains everything you need: AA batteries, a replacement head, even a little brush to clean off the rollers! You can buy the kit at any number of chain drugstores — many of which are open 24 hours — and also, online. You really can’t beat that for convenience!

So, how do you use it? First, put the batteries in (AA alkaline are recommended when the originals wear out), the same as you would a television remote control. Take the protective cap off, push up the power button and lightly apply to the bottoms of your feet. The machine does all of the work — quickly! — so you don’t have to dig in. They advise you to only spend about 3 seconds on each area. Don’t worry: that’s all you’ll need. It doesn’t hurt, burn or even tickle. You’ll be shocked at all the dead skin that comes off!

The Portable Pedicure isn’t a dangerous tool, so you can confidently take it on an airplane. That can help you turn any get-away into a spa-resort vacation!
