Madam enjoys dog-friendly Charles Village Pub in Towson

Madam, my faithful mixed dachshund, turned 11 this weekend. When I saw that Little Paws Dachshund Rescue was hosting a fundraising walk on her birthday, I knew it was meant to be. So, we loaded ourselves into an Uber for Pets to behind the Baltimore County Circuit Court, which I hadn’t been to since I signed settlement papers. Oy.

Madam enjoyed the best birthday ever, clearly more confident with dogs of her size and type. Afterwards, they let us know that Charles Village Pub is dog-friendly and is nearby. Well, CVP is in a different locale from my Goucher days and the whole vibe is different, too. Love it!

Also, it’s truly dog-friendly: the “patio” is enclosed, so you don’t have to freeze your fanny off if you have your Fido with you. There are little dishes of water and treats all around, too.

Well, Madam started out with a Bloody Mary . . .I may have helped. I was going to order the Steak Frites, but they were out. Instead, I got the French Dip, which didn’t have its au jus, but it was still tasty. I substituted fries for chips, to get closer to the steak frites concept. It’s slow roasted beef topped with provolone cheese, sautéed onions & tiger sauce. Served w/ Au jus. There were also some nice sour pickles accompanying it.

Madam and I shared, we had a blast.
