‘Tis the season to give with Fragrance.com!

Nobody wants to go to the malls. Between gas and parking and weirdos and nobody around to help, wouldn’t you rather just cocoon in your jammies while picking out exquisite gifts for your loved ones? When thinking of Hannukah, Kwanzaa, Christmas, etc., you want to make a big splash in treating someone. Presentation and prestige come into play, both for men and women. Make gift buying fun again with Fragrance.com! I was happy to be hosted to experience it.

The more time I wander the earth, the more I appreciate the amazing polymaths. There are people out there who are so very talented in several fields. Jimmy Choo was always known as a luxury shoe brand, but the fashion house is also creating delicious fragrances. I Want Choo Forever by Jimmy Choo comes in a chic bottle that looks like a lady in a full skirt gown. Don’t take the top off, the spray is right there. To my nose, I get a little black tea, orchid and vetiver, with rich floral and gourmand notes, but lightened by the fresh, citrusy herbal. This is how they describe it:

“Launched in 2022, this perfume features hints from bitter almond and rose at the start. The hints of jasmine, vetiver and cherry form the middle notes, while the base is fresh with hints from tonka bean, oakmoss, amber and vanilla.” It’s glamorous, perfect for a nighttime or holiday party. It’s not “little girl,” a wide range of women can wear it.

Whether creating a wellness night for yourself or a special party atmosphere, a Juicy Couture Sunset Palm candle adds a jet-set unexpected twist in home décor. Housed in a solid glass cylinder, it has a triple wick. Its listed scent is Palo Santo, passionfruit, warm sandalwood. I noticed sweet fruit and warm, lush floral. This is how Juicy Couture describes it: “Breathe in the refreshing notes of juicy pineapple, tantalizing coconut milk, and luscious mango, enveloped by a light floral breeze that serenades your space. Let the delicate whispers of orchid petals and hibiscus flowers transport you to a blissful oasis of pure relaxation.”

Growing up, perfume gift sets shouted “holidays!” Whether my dad split up a set among the sisters or individual pieces were passed out for each day, a good gift set is versatile. Gucci Bloom has a terrific set available, with an EDP in a gorgeous, heavy porcelain bottle, a body lotion and travel EDP spray. The scent is feminine, but modern. I experienced a big hit of carnations, creamy vanilla. This is a more exotic, nighttime fragrance.

The House of Guerlain was founded in 1828. They certainly have masterpiece fragrances for men. L’Homme Ideal (“Ideal Man”) would make a fine gift for the man in your life. I experienced mint notes, pink pepper, burnt tobacco, aquatic notes, warm skin. It’s elegant and clean, but mature. It can be worn in the daytime – it’s not in your face. This is how they describe it: “Introduced in the market in 2014, this woody aromatic scent showcases your stylish flair and confidence with a burst of sweet and woody aromas with lingering nuances of balsamic essences. Opening this fragrance are invigorating notes of citruses with spicy and fresh floral trails of rosemary and orange blossoms. As the scent lingers toward the heart, a sumptuous combination of almond and tonka bean delights the senses.”

When I’ve been in the most upscale of department stores, wandering in the men’s section, many of elegant things I pulled to look at more closely were made by Joseph Abboud. I’m talking about the kind of things that would be as at home at a private dinner being held at one of the European castles to a fundraiser at an art museum. The Joseph Abboud Variety set has four sizeable fragrances suitable for a full range of occasions. The scents have different colors and look stunning on a dresser. I experienced Modern Gentleman to have notes of vetiver, bay, fresh ruby grapefruit zest. It’s light, fresh and sporty. This is how they describe it: “Bright herbs, sweet florals, & masculine musks blend to create an aroma that is like no other.” I noticed in Bespoke black pepper, amber, soft powder: warmth, yet tailored. This is how they describe it: “Sophisticated notes of amber, Madagascan vanilla, smoked woods, & musk create a deep & fresh duo like no other.” I experienced Da”rk Woods to have notes of sandalwood, cedar, bamboo, oud, a little toast smoke, earthy moss and mushroom. They describe it as “a bouquet of herbs, & wood notes made to elevate any man’s presence.” I noticed in Mountain sweet fir, icy menthol, sweet spice and light floral notes. They describe it as, “Fresh green notes make you feel like you can take on the world.
