Get a lovely complexion this holiday season with Drunk Elephant!

Whether it’s the change in weather or a heapin’ helpin’ of stress, your complexion probably needs some extra TLC. Time for you and your loved ones to look your best this holiday season! Drunk Elephant has brand-new travel size sets to help cure what ails ya’. I was happy to be hosted to experience it!

Think about stocking up on these for stocking stuffers! Maybe you’re traveling on business, staying with the folks or even just want to try out products before diving in for the full size. These new sets help keep you on track with a good skincare routine — so much better than the products people tend to grab at the corner drugstore.

Mask Parade is a trio of masks to tackle different problems. Many beauty magazines, including Allure, NewBeauty, InStyle, etc., have given their top awards to T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial. This is a AHA/BHA skin resurfacer (AHAs and BHAs are two different acids that perform different functions in skincare). It’s a creamy consistency mask that contains glycolic, tartaric, lactic, citric and salicylic acids. This combo rapidly dissolves that thick, distressed layer of skin that creates the appearance of big pores, accentuates wrinkles, leads to breakouts and other problems. Think of the skin of a professional golfer vs. the amateur who’s mostly indoors. Because there are a lot of active ingredients, they do caution you to not use other potent products at that time or on irritated skin. Also, they recommend you use their Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil afterwards.

Bouncy Brightfacial Masque Illuminator has a point of difference in that it tackles two opposite problems: redness and lack of brightness. It accomplishes this with with 10% azelaic and 1% salicylic acids. It’s meant to be the very last step in either a day or nighttime skin routine, though — like other Drunk Elephant products — it’s meant to also be mixed with any serum or moisturizer. While very few things work overnight, I did notice that my red marks did subside in about three days, which is great during the time of year when you don’t want to wear so much makeup. It pumps out in a rich lotion consistency.

Drunk Elephant’s F-Balm Electrolyte Waterfacial is a new — but outstanding — entry to the super-popular night mask category. True to Drunk Elephant’s commitment to clean and efficacious products, it has niacinamide (a Vitamin B derivative), sodium PCA, plant squalane, five forms of ceramides, omega fatty acids and powerful antioxidants. It pumps out a medium-rich lotion consistency that absorbs immediately into your skin. So, you won’t wreck your sheets or come off like an extra in the beauty parlor scene from the 1939 version of The Women. Nobody will know you have it on.

It strengthens the skin’s acid mantle — exactly what the wind strips off — as well as helping with uneven tone and texture. Yet, it isn’t irritating or gritty.

Like with other Drunk Elephant products, F-Balm has been formulated to mix with other products in the line. They package it with a travel size of T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum for extra exfoliating or you can pair it with Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil for more intense moisturizing.

Watering Hole helps with dehydrated skin and is also good for irritated complexions. A trio of different products attack the problem from different angles. Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil comes from the oil of the marula fruit, found in Southern Africa. This oil is noted to be rich in omegas 6 and 9. Touch it on fine lines to soften them. add them to moisturize to give it a nourishing boost. A drop added to foundation on your hand will give it a less cakey glow. It’s appropriate to use on even the most sensitive skin. It is not adulterated in any way.

Another many-year running, award-winning moisturizer is Lala Retro Whipped Cream. It’s called a “rescue cream” with 6 African oils and fermented green tea. But it’s so fluffy and light, it’s not greasy at all! If you avoid moisturizer, because they feel too oily or waxy, this is the product for you. With its touch pop-up applicator, it keeps fresh and clean. It’s very soothing and hydrating, suitable for your face and whole body.

There are times when you want pure hydration: no oiliness, no complex actives (like, don’t go out on a limb with products the day before you might be photographed, for instance). B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum is geared for all skin types. It has a very gentle brightener — pineapple ceremide — plus that well-known skin plumper, Pro-Vitamin B5. You pump out a thin, silky serum that’s instantly absorbed. You’ll be able to apply makeup of any consistency on top immediately, it will not pill or slide. Use a serum as your first layer for post-cleansing treatments. It can be the only product, too. Use it on your face, chest, hands or wherever you need hydration!
