The folks at Root7 — who curate the coolest drink and barware — is now creating their own treasures for the thirsty. Unless you’ve been living in a cave for the past 10 years, you’ve learned that we have to stop clogging up our waterways with plastic bottles. They’re a petroleum by-product that is killing our life source and that of marine life. Could you be convinced to use a more sustainable water bottle if it changed colors? The Chameleon Bottle lets you know how much cold water is left in your bottle — no more need to see through it! I was happy to be hosted to experience it.
It uses special thermochromic ink that comes in different colors. The bottle reacts to cold water and cold temperatures: the empty space in the bottle stays white! As you can see in the picture, it was a cold day outside and my fingers holding the bottle were warmer. Thus, like a chameleon! You’ll know at a glance how much water you have — not only great for comfort, but also, reassuring for safety. If you’re hiking or in the great outdoors, you’ll know exactly how prepared you are.
The bottle is metal with a handy silicone grab tab. It comes in 450 ml and 600 ml sizes, in 6 colors . . . and counting!
