Have you been venturing outside, Maryland and Delaware residents? When you do, you’re really gonna want to see the great outdoors! Enjoy the classic Chesapeake area dishes at Havre de Grace‘s stately Tidewater Grille. There’s a closed-in porch with views of the historic Susquehanna River. The interior of the restaurant is dark paneled wood. I would describe dress as upscale preppy.
I started with one of their signature cocktails: TWG Moscow Mule – Vodka, ginger beer, a splash of lime juice and fresh cucumber 8.00 glass 21.00 pitcher. This is a refreshing drink that has a not-too-sweet taste that’s perfect as an aperitif. The cucumber definitely allows you to eat savories afterwards.
The French Onion soup has three cheeses baked on top, garnished with chopped scallions. With its rich beef broth, I would say it’s perfect for this heinous weather.
I tried some of the entree specials, but I would say that the appetizers and cocktails were more interesting to me. The entrees were served with mashed potatoes and green beans that seemed a little more tv dinner than entrees in the mid-20’s should be. So, stick with the openers, look out the window and enjoy!
They also have a wide selection of fine cigars.
