Summertime is a tough season for hair, especially if you travel. Different climate conditions have their effects on your tresses, as well as dry airplanes, humid cities, sunny and sandy beaches. You want treatment, but you don’t want the heavier products that you might reach for come winter.
That’s why I was very happy to be hosted to experience John Masters Organics hair care! John Masters is a real person, a celebrity hair stylist from Niagara, New York. He started creating organic hair products over 20 years ago.
Cleansing and conditioning-wise, I tried the Honey & Hibiscus Hair Reconstructing Shampoo and Hair Reconstructor. I have very damaged, color-treated hair. I expose it to pool water, airplanes, bleaches, hair dryers. I like to use the same line of shampoos and conditioners together, because I feel like they are formulated to work in synergy. This pair has a light incense/spice scent and creamy texture. The pair is not heavy, waxy or syrupy. The products rinse out cleanly and don’t add a heavy, weighted down look to your hair, which is good for summer and also, I’m sure, great for people who might have curly hair that you want to remain curly and stylish. It’s light with a clean scent: don’t be afraid of this leave-in, even on the hottest of days. Plus, you’re not adding to the demise of your hair with strong chemicals. 1. All products must be made with 70-100% organic content
2. No sodium lauryl sulfate, parabens, DEAs, MEAs, or TEAs

6. All plant extracts and essential oils must be certified organic whenever possible
7. All essential oils used must be steam-distilled and not extracted with propylene glycol – which kills the effect of the oils
8. All plant oils must be cold pressed, not heat distilled – which kills the therapeutic properties of plant oils
9. All ingredients must be proven to be beneficial to the hair or skin
10. All ingredients must be harvested in an environmentally-friendly manner (wild-crafted)
