Cool and classic while traveling with Tilley, Part 1[classic article]

The folks at Tilley have done a complete overhaul of its clothing line, recognizing that comfort and easy care is not the only thing that travelers want in travel clothes. The fits, fabrics and styles are more streamlined and modern. I was happy to be hosted to experience them!

The Liberty Fitted Shirt is a style that doesn’t unbutton down all the way, which is particularly flattering in photos — no buttons to ride up or pull. Liberty is a long-revered British fabric manufacturer; the shirt has contrasting Liberty fabric on the cuffs and pop-up collar. So cute!

The Jersey Trapeze Top is a very cool, double-layered top that’s longer on the sides. It’s long enough to hide all your sins, but the under-layer is shorter. It allows you to have that cropped look when you thought — as I did — that those days were long gone. You can make it look very fresh and funky; I paired mine with camo jeans.

The Ponte di Roma Asymmetrical jacket has a nice weight to it, with cool zippers and a hood. With the spread collar, it has that moto vibe that’s so hot now. Plus, unlike leather, it’s vegan and washable! The cuffs fold back to have a notch, for some design interest.

There’s no doubt, sometimes you have to be all about the business. The Ponte di Roma cardigan (and matching skirt) make a travel-friendly, soft suit that comes in several colors. The cardigan has an Alpine cut.

The Forever Cool Camisole is made with jade powder — how exotic! — to make a comfortable layering piece. It runs a little short in the torso, so keep that in mind fit-wise. The camisole is available in several classic colors and has a silky hand to it — yet it has the classic Tilley easy care aspect!
