So, checking out the citrus-y Unique fruit at the Fresh Market on Quarry Lane, I immediately thought about making a vodka or gin infusion. I’ve been reading about a lot of famous mixologists around the world and it seems like something they’d do.
Apparently, Unique fruit and Ugly fruit are the same beast… but for marketing purposes, I guess they have “evolved” the name.
I poured some Rain vodka that I bought at Buffalo Trace distillery in Kentucky — it’s the only vodka made in Kentucky — into a Mason jar this afternoon. So, every once in a while, I will check on its status and report! Glug, glug, glug.
