Great Harvest Bread has several Maryland locations but doesn’t feel like a chain [classic article]

I recently popped into a Great Harvest Bread Co. location, to discover half-way through my meal that it’s actually a chain! This restaurant group has a philosophy and business model that allows its franchise owners to craft a place that truly feels like part of the neighborhood. If you are in the Baltimore metro vicinity, you have a nice choice of locations.

The quality of the bread is excellent. Sandwiches at each location will differ, as the owners have control of their own recipes and offerings. The ingredients are all pure and simple, though.
