Travelers: keep your complexion fresh and glowing with Fleur’s [classic article]

Whether as a special spa treat after a long day of traveling and sightseeing, or as a refreshing way to wake up your complexion after a rough night, a gommage (French for “eraser”, but what we refer to as exfoliation or scrub) is a fast way to looking your best. After gommage, new skin layers are revealed: skin creams absorb better and makeup lays down better.

But when you’re traveling, you might have a bit of a sunburn or don’t want to risk trying something that will scratch your skin. Fleur’s to the rescue! I was happy to be hosted to experience it.

This luxe French skin care company uses floral extract to pamper your skin. This is what they say about their Gentle Scrub:

Creamy and velvety, it effectively exfoliates, refines skin and helps ensure a “new skin” effect. The skin is smoother, softer and radiant.

Fleur’s introduces a solution to mechanically exfoliate skin with a natural, organic
formulation consisting of fruit and floral extracts. Cherry and Gascony Plum powders work to gently scrub dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. Blueberry extracts create a wonderful fragrance and boost soothing, decongesting properties. Chamomile extract provides a renewing and anti-inflammatory power to respect even the most delicate skin. Finally, Calendula extract works to sooth and regenerate the skin for better product penetration. An eco-friendly answer to dull skin, Gentle Scrub provides a complete sensory experience for total

I say that the product is very gentle and won’t abrade your skin. It’s creamy, not like those old-fashioned drug store scrubs. This is a product that would feel good on even irritated and flaky skin, though I don’t tend to use scrubs when the skin has opened. The scrub is seized perfectly for 3-1-1 carry-on travel bags!
