Of course, you want to treat Mom like royalty, but your wallet says, “no, no, NO!”. Also, time’s a factor, too. It’s fair to say that nobody loves driving to the mall. How about putting together a package for Mom that heaps on the luxurious pampering? You can do everything up right with Fragrance.com. I was happy to be hosted to experience it!
To start the day, how about elevating the mundane to the divine? Imagine a morning shower with Makari Caviar Enriched Soap! It’s a big, chunky hexagonal bar with an elegant floral scent. Caviar has the proteins and fatty acids that are so good for us internally — they’re great topically, too! This Swiss soap can used on face, neck and body. Indulge!
Fragrance.com has an in-house sheet mask set of 8 that will blow her mind! Spa night after spa night . . . Sheet masks are clean, easy. No green clay is going to get onto your white robe to stay until End Times. You don’t even have to be near a water source, because you peel off the cloth and rub the residue in. Each one tackles a different skin issue, such as moisturizing, brightening, soothing, purifying. They’re so quick, I’ve even used on after the lights were out on a long-haul flight. You’ll find ingredients like charcoal, aloe, rose, collagen, cucumber.
Jimmy Choo shoes kiss up to the $1,000 mark. Mom is most likely not trying to swing that. But Jimmy Choo Seduction Collection Nail Color will give you that designer thrill without setting you back. It’s a tightly edited, but is a wide range for all kinds of styles, including near-black, glitter, bright pink and a perfect for everyone and every outfit: Sweet Pink. The long stem of the bottle makes for a more controlled grip, just like a long, expensive makeup brush.
Perfume minis are going to give you a big bang for your buck: get a few super rare ones for a feeling of abundance in your gift. Mancera Paris in Roses Vanile gives you the floral and gourmand all at once. In full size, it will set you back, but a vial is only a few dollars. This fragrance to me is almost a drinkable dark rose, vanilla, dark dessert wine with an iris powdery dry-down. This is what they say about it: “This fragrance opens with top hints from water notes and Lemon. The heart is syrupy with hints from Sugar and Rose. The base is intense with notes from Sugar, White Musk, Cedar and Vanilla.”
Comptoir Sud Pacifique is one of those cult in-the-know brands that you see at the chicest boutiques. I experienced Vanille Abricot as being a sweet, rich caramel with a light, crispy cookie base. This is what they say about it: “For the woman who has a penchant for sensual fruity fragrances. Launched in the year 1993, the sweet-fruity scents of Papaya, Jackfruit, and Apricot make the top and middle notes of this perfume. The dry down is comforting and pleasing with Vanilla and a dash of Sugar at the base. Warm and seductive, this Comptoir Sud Pacifique daytime wear fragrance guarantees amazing sensorial experiences.”
Tiziana Terenzi Orza comes from a luxurious family-owned house in Italy. Mom probably hasn’t heard of this brand, but it’s time she should! The mini is beautifully packaged with gold embossing on a box. I experienced berry chocolate cordials with dark rose and raspberry jam dry-down. There’s a little smoky wood base.
Creed is a British fragrance house in business since 1760. They have many scents in their line, all very elegant. They’re a favorite of Hollywood royalty, as well as Royalty royalty! They source natural plant oils from around the world. Creed points out that just like wine, harvests will vary from year to year and so, each year their fragrances may vary slightly. Collectible! I experienced big open blossoms and sunshine, maybe a touch of banana. It dries to a mysterious fern and soft powder notes. This is what they say about it: “An overtly floral scent with subtle hints of citrus for a stimulating yet refreshing aroma. Introduced in 2005, this feminine fragrance pairs notes of orange peel with iris, magnolia and Bulgarian rose to deliver a beautiful balance of sweetness and freshness. Designed for evening wear, this eau du parfum creates an alluring aromatic experience that captures the attention of anyone nearby.”
Juliette Has a Gun is another cult-fave for those in the know. Pear Inc., one of several scents they have, comes in a generously sized mini. I experienced luscious, almost ripe Williamson pears, leaf and ozone notes, maybe some milky notes, but not creamy. It’s light and would be good for day or night. This is what they say about it: “At the top are notes from pear, while the heart is filled with hints from ambroxan. The base is appealing with notes from amberttolide and musk.”
Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine is from a French fragrance house beloved by perfume enthusiasts. They boast 91% natural ingredients. I would definitely have guessed this is from a European fragrance house with those crisp citrus notes, so chic. I experienced woody/spice bark notes that take the scent out of being a gourmand type. It’s sophisticated. It also is a generous size, like a magic marker.
